You can contribute
The Institute appeals to all members of the public, Australian
and Polish, help piece together the history of Polish settlement
in Australia.
Maybe your professional, private or social networks have provided
you with information, documents or photographs relating to the
arrival, settlement and/or activities of Poles in your area. We
are also very interested in hearing the other side of the story
- how Australians view the contribution the Poles and their communities
have made to Australia. Through such stories reporting many perspectives
the complete history of the Poles in Australia may emerge, covering
outback, regional, rural and city populations of this vast country.
If you have programs, invitations, notices of Polish events (so
called ephemera) or if you have newspaper clippings, articles
from magazines which record something about the Poles in Australia,
we want to hear from you. All of these may be relevant to piecing
the story together.
For more information on what materials are collected by the Institute

The Institute needs members in every state and territory reporting
on the activities, proposing initiatives, helping in archival
preservation there. It needs members from all walks of life who
are interested in promoting the Institute's aims within their
community.
If you have additional experience or skills in archives, preservation,
historiography, library, indexing, fundraising, grant applications,
